Join Cameron in the studio as he teaches students another fun clay project that celebrates Thanksgiving. In his simple step-by-step process, he will show students how to create adorable clay turkey pots to adorn any fall table and to display for years to come. Due to drying and firing times, pottery will be ready to pick up 10-12 days after the class.

PAINTING FOR KIDS

For kids ages 6-10.
Anyone can learn to paint! This class encourages students to explore the medium of painting through a variety of techniques emphasizing concepts of shape, volume, and color. With subject matter varying from representational to free form, this class is designed to encourage confidence and creative expression through paint.

THE SCIENTIFIC ILLUSTRATION
The Scientific Illustration

For adults/teens ages 14+.
Stippling is a technique using many small dots to create naturalistic gradation of tones, which is portrayed in scientific illustration. Learn how to use line and stippling techniques to suggest and render form, create texture, and build a dynamic, clean image using pen and ink. Class will examine specimens like animal skulls, or taxidermied animals. Each student will receive a personal pack of Micron pens of varied thicknesses to achieve the perfect values when drawing, and a drawing pad on the first day of class. Teens 14+ are welcome to enroll.

PAINTING ON CLAY
Painting on Clay

$225 + $30 materials fee.
For adults ages 17+.
Explore the details that can be expressed on clay with Kristen. Students will have the opportunity to work with the newest ceramic materials, using Designer Liner brand firable paints. This is a great course for anyone who wants to add professional looking touches to their ceramic artwork! Fear that you can't draw or paint? Not to worry. All ability levels are welcome. Due to drying and firing times, pottery will be ready to pick up 10-12 days after the class session is finished.

GLASS FUSION II
Tuesdays, November 8, 15, 22, 29

With Jan Harris Smith
$180 + $80 materials fee.
For adults ages 17+.
Learn the basics of glass fusion while creating one of a kind glass projects in class. We will explore the use of tools used to shape and form glass. Properties and types of glass will be discussed, as well basic design concepts, resulting in the completion of several finished projects. Class will cover the use of reactive glasses, the use of frit, rod, and dichroic to create patterns in glass and the use of inclusions in glass such as silver foil. Cold working techniques will be demonstrated to put a finishing touch on the fused glass piece. This class is for beginners and intermediate students continuing their practice in glass fusion.
