    You are invited to attend the first annual Utah Cultural Advocacy Awards Dinner!

    This dinner is on the official social calendar of the legislature, and hence the entire legislature will be attending, many bringing their spouses. We will present a number of awards to elected officials who have significantly supported the arts & humanities through their public service in the last year. The program will also include performances from professional artists AND elected officials!

  • Arts Day on the Hill 2019

    Utah Cultural Alliance is honored to co-host Arts Day on the Hill with our partners: Utah Division of Arts & Museums, Art Works for Kids, and Utah Music Educators Association! Nominate an elected official to receive 

    Schedule:

    • 8:30am // Registration opens
    • 9:00am // Welcome, Brief Advocacy Training (Presentation Room, ground floor, just inside the east doors of the main Capitol Building)
    • 9:45am // Photo on the Rotunda stairs (2nd floor)
    • 10am // Senate Chambers (4th floor) for Senate President Art Competition and Recognition from legislators
    • 10:35am // House Chambers (4th floor) for Recognition from legislators
    • 10am-3pm // Most meetings with Legislators (your legislative captain is setting up meetings in advance!)
    • 12pm // BYOLunch to the Rotunda
    • 12-2pm // Performances from around the state in the rotunda, introductions done by each groups' representative

  • Legislative Wrap-Up

    We'll give you a review of what happened during the 2019 legislative session that impacted arts, humanities, and cultural businesses. Speakers include Jill Love of Utah Department of Heritage and Arts, the division directors of State History, State Library, Arts & Museums, as well as Multicultural and Indian Affairs. Joining them are Spencer Stokes, UCA lobbyist, and Crystal Young-Otterstrom, UCA ED.
