Salt Lake Acting Company’s Spring Fundraiser

Salt Lake Acting Company (SLAC) hosts a hotsy-totsy 1920s-style evening of food, drinks, games and live entertainment at its spring fundraiser, the Club Marmalade Speakeasy on Saturday, April 8 at 7:30 pm at Salt Lake Acting Company (168 W. 500 N. SLC).

This night will be one to remember as guests are encouraged to dress in their best Roaring ‘20s attire, with a prize for “Best Dressed” awarded by celebrity judges Kate Kelly (Executive Director, Gender & Intersectional Rights Law Center), Christopher Ruud (Principal Dancer, Ballet West) and Anna Thomas (Strategic Communications Manager, ACLU of Utah).

The night will feature food from We Olive, drinks from the Beehive Distillery, drag queen bingo with the Matrons of Mayhem and live music from local musicians.

SLAC is proud to partner with the ACLU of Utah for this fundraiser, with ten percent of all ticket sales for the event going to benefit the vital work their organization does for our community.

Tickets available for a $100 donation and can be purchased over the phone at 801.363.7522 or online at

Proceeds raised will benefit SLAC’s mission to engage and enrich community through brave, contemporary theatre. SLAC’s vital programming includes a full season of provocative plays, free readings, panel discussions, community partnerships, educational opportunities and intrepid new play development programs. For going on 47 years, Salt Lake Acting Company has been a staple in Utah’s artistic landscape.
