Nitya Nritya Festival offers a weekend of Indian classical dance and music in an intellectually stimulating and informative atmosphere on 7th and 8th September, 2019 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. Featured events are - A violin concert by the unorthodox violin maestro Purnaprajna Bangere accompanied on the Tabla by Amit Kavthekar. A lecture demonstration by world renowned Veena Guru, performer, composer, and educator Dr. Karaikudi S. Subramanian and Mridangam Maestro and educator Dr. David Nelson. An innovative music and dance ensemble, led by Hamsa Raghuvir, a student of the legendary Lalgudi Jayaraman. A solo Bharatanatyam production by Jyothsna Sainath on the redoubtable 19th century Indian queen, Kitturu Rani Chennamma.
