In this class we will travel to Southern Africa and take a safari to see the animals that live there.
This summer come travel the globe in this unique kids art camp. With international artist and educator, Jill Saxton Smith, we will explore traditional art techniques of 5 different cultures and create our own kid take on it. This camp is aimed at fostering cultural awareness, collaboration, creative thinking and expression that includes hands-on experiences in a variety of mediums and techniques. All supplies and a snack will be provided, please bring a water bottle. In this class we will travel to Southern Africa and take a safari to see the animals that live there. We will then create colorful wall hangings of our favorite animals using traditional Zimbabwean designs and methods of cloth dying!
