Three New Grants Now Open in September - Apply Today

The Salt Lake City Department of Economic Development's Community Grant Program is now open and accepting applications until September 31 for two categories: "Small Business/Artists" and "Non-Profits." For those who don't know, Salt Lake City’s Community Grant Program was created to provide limited, one-time financial assistance to eligible small businesses, artists, artisans, creatives, and nonprofits (as individual businesses) in Salt Lake City that were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic or related shutdowns. The Community Grant Program is funded through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
According to the grant page, applicants can apply for up to the following amounts according to their designation:
Small Businesses and artists/artisans can apply for grants up to $50,000
Nonprofits offering arts or small business- specific COVID-19 recovery programming can apply for grants up to $100,000

The Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity (Go Utah) has re-opened their Event Service Industry Revitalization Grant opportunity and is accepting applications until September 22. The Utah Legislature authorized $4,500,000 to Utah-based privately owned event equipment or service providers that primarily work off-premise, and were negatively impacted by COVID-19.
For-profit and Not-for-profit entities qualify and may apply if they meet the following:
Event equipment or service providers, operating primarily off-premise
Must have experienced at least a 30% quarterly loss in revenue (see calculation below)
Apply for CCE's Cultural Capital Grant Before It Closes
ICYMI, the Utah Department of Cultural and Community Engagement (CCE) opened applications for the Cultural Capital Grant program. The Utah Legislature generously provided $4 million dollars to invest in capital projects for community facilities in Utah. This grant can provide up to a $350,000 award for new construction, or renovations and remodeling to an existing facility. The deadline to apply is September 7 at 6 PM.
