Glen Hansard is an Irish songwriter, actor, vocalist and guitarist. He starred in and wrote the music for the film Once; earning Glen an Oscar for Best Original Song Falling Slowly. Hansard also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony and Grammy award-winning stage adaptation of Once. For this upcoming tour, Glen will be joined by a ten-piece band to showcase music from his forthcoming album This Wild Willing as well as songs from his extensive back catalog. Glen Hansard is an artist who embraces many genres, from freewheeling folk performed solo with his guitar, to Stax-indebted soul supported by his full band. All of this carried by his extraordinary voice (often served acapella) – raw, emotive and powerful.
