Welcome Rogene Mañas, a nationally acclaimed mixed-media artist and author of Artful Paper Clay, for a fun 2-day workshop inspired by birds.

Join us for a fun 2-day workshop inspired by birds. This workshop is excellent for any student who is interested in learning a new medium. It is a perfect medium for those who have drawing, painting, or sculpting skills, but none are necessary. Students will learn how to add dimension to their work with this easy-to-use air-dried clay (no firing is needed), to create a 5 x 7 Bas-Relief bird image on a wood panel.  The result is a wood-carved effect that will leave people wondering how it was made. The whole process is very forgiving and has lots of latitudes for students to fix their work or refine it. This aspect makes paper clay perfect for beginning and advanced students alike. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn how to work with this amazing medium. Who knows it could easily become a new favorite for your creations!
