Modern and Contemporary Gallery
Join instructor Gloria Pak and explore our reimagined galleries as we seek to find stillness within ourselves. Practice slow and mindful looking at artwork as well as traditional, guided meditation. This free meditation practice is perfect for beginners—everyone is welcome.

Chamber Music Series

Explore the intersection of music and visual art as the Michie Undergraduate Vocal Quartet from the University of Utah Department of Music performs, featuring Dana Wirth, soprano; Shae Bunker, mezzo-soprano; Keanu Aiono-Netzler, tenor; and Alexander Norton III, baritone. Explore the galleries while you listen to the program and discover parallel expressions in the music and the art.

Creativity in Focus Film Series | Art Bastard

The rousing tale of Robert Cenedella, a rebel who never fit into today’s art world, yet has become one of its most provocative, rabble-rousing characters. A student, protégé, and friend of German artist George Grosz, Cenedella is now passing on the legacy of Grosz's approach to art, in the very same room where Grosz taught. 
Presented in partnership with the Utah Film Center.
 
Shyamali: Audience Empowerment Workshop

Great Hall
Ananya Dance Theatre artists will lead a pre-performance Audience Empowerment Workshop in advance of their performance of Shyamali: Sprouting Words. Participants watch, discuss, re-watch, and partake in movement exploration to connect with the metaphors and energy of abstract dance. Hosted by the Sustainability Office and Utah Presents at the University of Utah.

The workshop is FREE and includes admission to the museum. Check in at the front desk.
