Amplifying Culture

UCA amplifies the public presence of culture and communicates its positive impact on community prosperity. Our tools include collecting data to demonstrate culture’s impacts, mapping, calendaring, and advertising the sector. Our programs:

    • Cultural Asset Map // This visual tool showcases the depth and variety of Utah's cultural sector.

    • (NPU) // NPU is the statewide events calendar of everything to see and do in Utah, with heavy emphasis on the humanities and arts. This site sees 1.3 million unique visitors a year. It is free to post events. Members receive advertising discounts on NPU.

    • Economic Impact  & Research // We compile data from across Utah that highlights the economic value and societal impacts of the arts and humanities. Members have direct access to economic data through WESTAF's Creative Vitality Suite.
    • Annual State of UT Culture Report // We author an annual “state of culture” report, which outlines the economic impact, significance and happenings of the arts, humanities, and cultural sector in Utah. We distribute the report to elected officials, business leaders, the press, and members.

    • Free Night of Theatre // We make culture accessible through Free Night of Theatre via More nights to come in the near future!
    • Newsletter // Distributed bimonthly, the newsletter is the main conduit of information between members, the community, business leaders, and elected officials.

      • Anyone can sign up for our newsletter. It includes news affecting the cultural sector, upcoming events and happenings of our members, as well as calls to action. It also contains items of local, regional, and national interest.

      • Members also receive a bi-monthly member-only newsletter. This newsletter features specific advocacy work, professional development opportunities, jobs/auditions/volunteer opportunities, calls for entry, calls for artists, and funding opportunities. If your membership is current, you will automatically receive this newsletter. Join here if you're not a member!

      • Our newsletter now goes to over 11,000 households!

      • All members are invited to submit news, events, happenings, jobs, auditions, volunteer opportunities, trainings/workshops, funding opportunities, calls for artists, calls for entry, and more. Members can submit items for both the UCA newsletter AND by emailing [email protected]
