ROBERT L. LYNCH SPEAKS TO HYPERALLERGIC ABOUT THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION
Hyperallergic interviewed President and CEO Robert L. Lynch for a post-election article about how the Trump administration might affect arts and culture, and what can be done to put the arts at the forefront.

ROBERT L. LYNCH INTERVIEWED ON 'HERE AND NOW' RADIO SHOW ABOUT TRUMP AND THE ARTS
President and CEO Robert L. Lynch was recently interviewed on the 'Here and Now' radio show, produced by NPR and WBUR, on what the Trump administration could mean for the arts. 

PUBLIC LEADERSHIP IN THE ARTS AWARD FOR STATE ARTS LEADERSHIP AWARDED
This year,Americans for the Arts and the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) honored four legislators for their work together as the Founding Chairs of the Pennsylvania Legislative Arts & Culture Caucus.

NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS CLOSES THE YEAR AT SUSTAINED FUNDING
Congress completed its work for the year by punting final funding decisions until the new year. Under the agreement, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) will continue to receive "level" funding at $148 million.

OVERTIME RULES IMPACTING NONPROFIT ARTS ORGANIZATIONS NOW DELAYED
Americans for the Arts has been tracking proposed changes to federal overtime rules and their impact to nonprofit arts organizations and employees. 

NEW FEDERAL RESOURCES FOR ARTS EDUCATION
Since the passage of the new K-12 education law, the Every Student Succeeds Act, Americans for the Arts has tracked its implementation. On November 28, the U.S. Department of Education released final regulations pertaining to state accountability plans.

ROBERT L. LYNCH: THE ARTS HEAL, UNIFY, AND INSPIRE ACTION
President and CEO Robert L. Lynch penned a personal Huffington Post column about how the arts give hope and help him heal. The arts also fight injustice. We all must fight for the freedom and resources for artists and arts organizations to unify us, bridge community differences, and create places of understanding and healing. Bob also sent a message to our members via the listservs last week.

Local arts agencies (LAAs) are community connectors. Ninety-two percent maintain at least one partnership with a community agency or organization, and 76 percent have three or more ongoing collaborations.
