A Midsummer Night's Dream plays at Utah Children's Theatre every Saturday from August 17th to September 28th

A Midsummer Night’s Dream has something for everyone--a love triangle for the romantics, fairies for fantasy and adventure, and some wanna-be actors who appeal to the common man in their hilarious attempt to put on a play. This production is set in 1930’s New Orleans, which adds a fun flavor to the show. A jug band and period folk music add to the ambiance of the bayou setting. Nellie Kelly, the production manager, is excited for patrons to see the stage. “It’s a playground--it will be unlike anything you’ve ever seen at Utah Children’s Theatre, or anywhere.” The fairies slide onto the stage from various locations, frolicking with delight at the mishaps their magic has caused. It is a perfect show for the summer--light, happy, you don’t have to think too much to understand it.  Performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be every Saturday morning at 10:30 am from August 17th through September 28th at Utah Children’s Theatre, 3605 S. State Street in South Salt Lake. Tickets may be purchased online at www.uctheatre.org or by calling 801-532-6000.
