The Bachauer invites music enthusiasts to experience four exhilarating days of brilliant piano virtuosity, featuring Bachauer Laureates and friends performing in evening concerts and six young pianists showcasing their artistry in the Festival Students Concert. *** OPENING RECEPTION JUNE 22 7:00 pm Meet and Greet with the Festival Artists and Students - Free admission CONCERT JUNE 23 Boris Slutsky 7:30 pm Boris Slutsky, renowned performer, educator, and Bachauer juror, offers a captivating program of Schumann's virtuosic Symphonic Etudes, Beethoven's emotionally expressive Sonata op. 81a (Les Adieux),and four Rachmaninoff's Preludes, full of keyboard color. CONCERT JUNE 24 Fantee Jones 7:30 pm Fantee Jones, frequent prize-winner (including the Bachauer Young Artists Competition), with a recent DMA from at Eastman School of Music, performs a program of elegance and charm featuring Chopin Waltzes and Tarantella, Haydn's E Major Sonata, and Schumann's Humoreske. CONCERT JUNE 25 Festival Students 7:30 pm Festival Students Concert: Selected through an international screening, these outstanding young pianists combine efforts to offer a program of virtuosity and lyricism, showcasing their skills as developing artists.
