Salt Lake Acting Company Announces Auditions for
SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY by Chisa Hutchinson

Saturday, April 29: 10-1pm
WHAT: Prepare sides. Five minute slots.

SCHEDULE: Rehearsals begin August 7, 2017.
Runs September 6 – October 15, 2017 with shows Wednesdays through Saturdays @ 7:30 p.m. and Sundays @ 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Additional Tuesday night performance the fourth week of the run and Saturday matinee performance the fifth week of the run.
ROLES:
YOUTH ROLES:
Tino: 12-15yrs old, male, African-American. A young resilient teenager. Able to adapt to difficult circumstances. His education is of the utmost importance to him.
Deja: 12-15year old, female, African-American. Popular girl in school who befriends Tino.
ADULT ROLES:
Alneesa: 35-42 years old, female, African-American. Tino's Aunt, only provides a shelter for Tino. Completely uninterested in being a caretaker.
Bernadette: 50-65 years old, female, African-American. Lunch lady at Tino's school. Frank, to-the-point woman who keeps kids in line. Has a soft spot for Tino. Aging woman who is trying to manage a disease.
