Salt Lake City, July 28 – Craft Lake City will feature live screen printing with Copper Palate Press at the 8th Annual DIY Festival, held Aug. 12–14 at the Gallivan Center. Watch printers pull 10 designs on blank tote bags. Bags are available for FREE to festival attendees, while they last.

Designs are being provided by 2016 DIY Festival artisans on a rotating schedule:

Fri., Aug. 12, 8–9:30 p.m. – Mike Murdock
Sat., Aug. 13, 12:30–2 p.m. – Lars Love Letters
Sat., Aug. 13, 2:30–4 p.m. – Hillzart
Sat., Aug. 13, 4:30–6 p.m. – Laura Frisk
Sat., Aug. 13, 6:30–8 p.m. – Hatrobot
Sat., Aug. 13, 8:30–10 p.m. – Trent Call
Sun., Aug. 14, 1–2:30 p.m. – Kelly Rose Stika of Original Hooligan Art
Sun., Aug. 14, 3–4:30 p.m. – Dusk Raps
Sun., Aug. 14, 5–6:30 p.m. – Ashley Love

The DIY Festival will be held Friday, Aug. 12, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 13, from noon to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 14, from noon to 7 p.m. The festival features over 250 artisans, craft foodies and DIY engineers, as well as two stages with live music and dance by local performers. Tickets can be purchased at 24tix.com. The festival is FREE for kids 12 and under.

 
 
 

About Craft Lake City: We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our mission is to educate, promote and inspire local artisans while elevating the creative culture of the Utah arts community through science, technology and art. In an effort to keep the community active, educated and aware of local DIY culture, Craft Lake City hosts monthly workshops, gallery shows, fundraisers and an annual festival to promote regional spending with independent artisans and businesses. The 2016 DIY Festival will be held at the Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main Street, on Friday, Aug. 12, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 13, from noon to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 14, from noon to 7 p.m.
