UMOCA Presents: Imagining UMOCA
ED SPACE | JAN 24 - APR 15
Salt Lake City, UT - Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA) is proud to present our newest Ed Space exhibition, Imagining UMOCA, which features projects created by architecture students and is led by Anne Mooney in the Senior Design Studio course at the University of Utah. Selected students include Chiwoo Back, Heather McDonald, Mitchell Hope, Michael Frazier, Diane Kayembe, and Drew Olguin.

Each project imagines a new possibility for expanding the museum to serve its diverse and growing audience. Students began by researching contemporary artists. As the design process progressed, they attempted to capture the essence of the artists they selected in their proposals for one of three downtown sites.

Presented in the form of diagrams and 3D models, these final concepts by six students meet UMOCA's programmatic and functional requirements, while also creating a spatial experience that unfolds gradually for the visitor and engages both body and mind.
