Each year the World Folkfest in Springville, Utah brings Folk Dance groups to perform nightly on the stage at Spring Acres Park. This festival started in 1986 and since then has dozens of international groups participate in the performances. In 2019, the festival will host the following groups: The Folk Ensemble Tena Dakovo from Dakovo, Croatia; Compañía Mexicana de Danza Folklórica from Mexico City, Mexico; Dansgroep Ralda from Raalte, Netherlands; Song and Dance Ensemble Kortowo from Olsztyn, Poland; Crystal dance group from Kazan, Russia; Yuan Yuan Dancing Group from Zhanghau, Taiwan; and the Native American Group, Morning Star and the Clogging group, Rocky Mountain Express, from the United States.  Each of these groups present 8-15 minutes of dancing in the evening performances.  The festival site also includes food and craft vendors as well as crafts sold by the performing groups. Performances run each evening starting Tuesday, July 30 and going through Saturday, August 3. Gates open at 6 pm, the pre-show (performances by local folk groups) start at 6:45 pm with the main show starting at 7:30 pm.    There will be dancing on the stage after the performances on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and a free street dance (with dances taught by the groups) on Monday, July 29 at 8 pm at the Springville Art Museum.
