Join us for a Virtual Paint-a-Long! Our Director of Conservation, Cooper Farr, will be leading the lesson on this painting of an American Avocet. American Avocet Materials Needed: 11" x 14" Canvas (OR canvas of another size or piece of paper) Artist palette (OR piece of cardboard, paper plate, something else flat and relatively robust to mix paint on) Cup full of water Large paintbrush approx. 3/4" (OR paintbrush of a similar size) Medium paintbrush approx. 3/8" (OR paintbrush of a similar size) Small paintbrush approx. 1/16" (OR paintbrush of a similar size) Acrylic Paint in the following colors (colors in parentheses are exact paint used in example, but any version of those colors will be fine): white black dark blue (e.g., phthalocyanine blue) light blue (e.g., blue lake) dark green (e.g., old ivy) light green yellow (e.g., moon yellow) orange red (e.g., brilliant red) ·         Alternatively, draw or sketch along using a medium of your choice: colored pencils, pastels, markers, crayons, etc.!
