View Our SVOG Recording Today and More

At 11 a.m. this morning, we, along with our members, spoke to Marla Trollan, District Director, and John Gygi, Deputy District Director, of the Small Business Administration (SBA) Utah District Office. This included specifics on what is needed on profit & loss statements, information needed on FTE staff lists, and other points. You may view the recording now on our website along with the powerpoint slides that accompanied the conversation and all other SVOG materials that we have compiled for you to be ready for tomorrow's application. Members may now view the recording of this conversation in our Member Recordings portal. If you are not yet a member, you may head to our membership information page to join today using a monthly or annual plan.

In addition, Members may now head to our SBA COVID Emergency Relief Programs page to find a variety of resources to help you prepare for the opening of the application tomorrow. This includes our "Snapshot Checklist" that you can use to guide you through the necessary materials for the application, our "One-Sheet" with a comparison between PPP and SVOG to help you know what you can and can't do if you plan to apply for both PPP and SVOG, and a compilation of all other SBA-released recordings on the SVOG program. You may also head to the SBA's checklist webpage to find their preliminary application checklist for a full-text description of items you may or may not need for the application and their Youtube Channel to view their released video materials on the application and other items. The Utah World Trade Center also released late last week, with the SBA Utah District Office, a video on the SVOG Program that you may view on the WTC Youtube Channel as well.

At this time, we also recommend that, if you have not already done so, please head to the SVOG portal page to sign up for a notification on when exactly the SVOG application will open to the public. Unfortunately, we do not know nor does our Utah District Office so it is best to sign up for that notification. With that being said, if you are a Member, we highly recommend that you sign up to receive texts from us today so that we can notify you as soon as we see the application opens up if you are unable to get notification fast enough.

Lastly, we would like to say that if you have questions tomorrow in regards to the application, please refer your questions to the following contacts first:

  • Small Business Development Center - State Director, Mike Finnerty (801-633-5595), http://www.utahsbdc.org/
  • Women's Business Centers - State Director, Ann Marie Wallace (801-971-0859), https://wbcutah.org/

These individuals are readily available to answer questions for you as you attempt to complete the application. With that being said, please don't hesitate to contact us using our Staff Directory tomorrow if you have any further questions or are not receiving responses.
