After nearly a year of work that included film licensing, curriculum writing, and site selection, Utah Film Center’s education team, with support from the Utah State Board of Education Alternative Learning Department, is excited to announce the launch of Film Spark Volume Two.

Featuring eleven STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) themed documentaries, Volume Two’s films are paired with Educator Study Guides designed for grades 6-12 to help support deeper STEM content learning and excite students about potential STEM careers.

Film Spark's goal is to support the development of communication, critical thinking, media literacy, social action, and media creation through engaging video content and study guides.  Currently, this volume is licensed to play in 25 youth-in-custody facilities across Utah.
