Film Program Operations Manager Salary: $42,000 - 47,500 Depending on Experience

 Description The Film Program Operations Manager is responsible for managing all operational components for the the Utah Film Center's year-round film exhibition and film festival programs. This position reports to the Artistic Director. Utah Film Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, continually strives to bring our community together through the powerful and efficient medium of film. We reach more than 38,000 film lovers annually through: free screenings of documentary, independent, and dramatic film; post-film Q&As and discussions with visiting artists and professionals; outreach programs, including youth media education in Utah public schools; and two annual film festivals Utah Film Center inspires and engages diverse audiences to initiate conversation and community building through curated film exhibition, educational programs, and artist support. This Salt Lake City-based, full-time position includes paid holidays, paid time off, retirement plan, medial and dental plans. Responsibilities Festivals (Tumbleweeds and Damn These Heels) Work with Artistic Director on overall vision of each film festival Manage the film festival budgets Create and manage film festival planning timeline Oversee all operational aspects of the film festivals including but not limited to presentation, print traffic, ticketing, volunteers, staffing, and venue set-up Work with each department to establish departmental festival goals Year-Round Manage all operational aspects of our public screening program Coordinate all Print Traffic Manage staff schedule for all film presentations Manage budgets for year-round screening program Work a minimum of two screenings per month Coordinate and manage all guest travel and logistics Education and Experience Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance Excellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbal Maturity in decision making and communication Minimum of two years experience in event planning or logistics Budget and time-line management Ability to make decisions under pressure Excellent problem solving skills Email, Google Docs, and basic computer skills necessary Experience in training, customer service, managing people/HR and ticketing systems is a plus Special Requirements: Must be able to work flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends Problem Solving / Decision Making: This job requires the ability to work independently and make decisions based on Utah Film Center mission, vision and policy.
