GLAZING MADE EASY

Take the fear out of glazing! If you have ever been frustrated with the glazing process and feel you can't get it right, then this is the perfect class for you. Kristen will give students a general overview of the chemical and heat reaction process of glazing to educate students and set them up for success. Each day, Kristen will have a different glazing activity for students to practice. Students will also make ceramic work in class to glaze.Take the next step and perfect the art of glazing! Due to drying and firing times, pottery will be ready to pick up 10-12 days after the class session is finished.

LEAF & FEATHER WINDCHIMES FOR TOTS

For tots ages 3-5.
Come play with clay while Kristen leads a demonstration on how to make beautiful windchimes. Tots will experiment with texture and shapes using cookie cutters and stencils to help guide them to create successful clay autumn leaves and feathers. When their creations are finished, kiddos will paint their windchime pieces with bright glazes for that extra pop of color! Due to drying and firing times, pottery will be ready to pick up 10-12 days after the class. Wood branches and string will be provided when you pick up for assembly.

WAKE & DRAW: OPEN STUDIO FIGURE DRAW SESSION II

$15, BYO drawing materials.
*This class is for adults only 18+.
Unwind from the work week and enjoy your Saturday morning in the studio. This class has been offered because of popular demand! Grab an easel or a drawing horse, bring a pad of paper, your preferred drawing medium, and your creativity. A nude and/or draped model will be present to pose. Students will work with the model to communicate positions, quick draw exercises, or extended time draws, etc., which will allow students to continue their study of the figure. There is no instructor during this open studio session, so it is suggested that students who register have figure drawing experience. Wake & Draw is meant to be a creative meeting place for artistic people to share their techniques and skills on a community setting. Come by and try it! Space is limited to 10 students, so please register in advance to reserve your space.

YOGART KIDS:
Move, Breathe, Create

For kids ages 6-10.
Come relax after a long week at school and connect mind & bodies through movement, breathing and creativity. This fun class combines simple yoga movements with creativity, where students create artwork that reinforces the theme of the day.

PICTURE BOOKS PRIMER

For adults ages 14+.
This class is for anyone who wants to know the essentials of creating a picture book. Learn about layout, sequence, continuity, character development, making a dummy book and creating color samples of finished art. Review resources for authors and illustrators. Make a little book just for fun or for practice. Students 14+ are welcome to enroll.
