FridayApril 21RE: REcycled, REpurposed, REthought, REinvented. In this exhibit, local artists use reimagined approaches and techniques to create work from repurposed and recycled materials. The show also features a collection of Rock’Em Sock’Em Robot games that have been transformed by artists’ imaginations. 

RE will hang from April 4th to April 30th. An artist reception will be held on Friday, April 21st from 6-9 pm. Admission is free and open to the public. RSVP, here

Friday, April 14: Artist Jimmi Toro will speak on "the Obsessed Artist" -- and discuss how artists can better control how they obsess and what they obsess over -- in order to better reach their professional careers.

Night of Healing

Monday, April 24Join us as we celebrate the resilience of the human spirit and share our journey of recovery through Art, Music, and our stories of healing.

Hot New Marketing Ideas at the SLC Arts Hub


 

April 12: This community-driven conversation will discuss hot new marketing ideas that you can implement in your organization. Our lead speaker is Ginamarie Marsala.

Ginamarie Marsala just joined the team at Adobe as a marketing specialist. Prior to working at Adobe, she was the marketing communication manager at Utah Symphony | Utah Opera. Ginamarie earned her bachelor's degree in mass communication from the University of Utah and has seven years of experience in marketing and communications. Will be held at Utah Arts Alliance’s Art Hub in Salt Lake City (663 W 100 S). Lunch is served. RSVP here

Salt Lake Capoeira is a capoeira school and performing group located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and directed by Mestre Jamaika (Mauro Romualdo), a three-time Brazilian Capoeira Champion with international performing and teaching experience. He leads a diverse group of talented, enthusiastic, and dedicated students.

Samba Fogo is Brazilian and Afro-Brazilian drumming, dance, song, and/or creative movement classes where students connect more fully to their classmates as they engage with exciting cultural content and gain a global perspective.

The newest addition to UAA programs, The Art Factory is a Creative Industries Incubator. It is located at 193 W. 2100 S. SSLC UT 84115, conveniently next to the Trax Central Pointe Station Stop.
