15 Bytes' Sunday Blog Read is now Read Local Sunday.

On February 24, 2014, 15 Bytes began its storied - no pun intended - hosting of new work and works-in-progress by established and emerging Utah writers.

Former Utah Poet Laureate Katharine Coleswas the inaugural post. She set the standard for the quality and verve that this regular (at least monthly) feature offers our readers.

Since then, we've hosted the work of 51 poets, fiction writers, novelists and memoirists, from Lance Olsen's experimental prose, to Jesse Parent's cracker jack slam poetry; and from the short, wry stories of Lynne Kilpatrick to the lucid poesie of 15 Bytes Book Award Winner Paisley Rekdal.

It's been a Sunday morning literary croissant with your morning cup of joe, and now it's got a new name:Read Local Sunday, in honor of our Read Local reading series. You won't want to miss either of these 15 Bytes features. Why? Because the literary arts of Utah are worth your time, worth your attention, and worth a few coffee stains as you curl up and enjoy some really remarkable and eclectic works of literature.

So . . .  thanks to all 51 of our esteemed writers who have favored us with their stories, their images, their phrasing and their ideas. You're now treasured alumni of the new Read Local Sunday.

So curl up with your favorite cup of joe, and we'll see you here at least once a month with that Utah author or emerging writer that you need to know about.
