How have the arts, culture, and/or humanities impacted your life?
Answer: I support developing a broad range of arts opportunities for our community. I played the violin in school orchestras when I was younger. My grandmother taught me to value history and it's preservation, especially as I worked in the DUP museum in Salt Lake and in reading her pioneer history books. My wife and I have been season ticket holders for many years to our local amphitheater. We have also worked to help produce our city Interfaith Christmas concert and a regional interfaith "Lamb of God " concert.

Answer: The amount changes from year to year based on needs and budget requests. RAMP money is budgeted for special projects and City general funds are allocated for Davis Arts Council operations. This year totalling in hundreds of thousands of dollars. We will see what next year's request brings.

Answer: Ours is a Recreation, Arts, Museum, Parks tax. There are many demands to provide the services our citizens have requested per a survey conducted a few years ago. Again, we will see what each area requests in the years to come and find the projects that best meet the public's desires.
