The arts and humanities are critical to our society - particularly to the education of our children. They also add to the economy of our state.

I would be happy to consider supporting this bill, but never endorse legislation until I have read the text and reviewed the fiscal note.

I would be happy to consider supporting a minor tax increase, but would need more information such as the amount, how it will be allocated, etc. I do support cultural districts and believe they add a lot to our communities.
Last year the state legislature passed a bill (HB223 Local Historic District Amendments) restricting the creation of historical districts. What are your thoughts about historic preservation? (One or two sentences is sufficient).
I support the concept of historic preservation, but had some concerns about the language in HB 223. As with most legislation, the devil is often in the details.
Have you had a personal experience with arts, culture, or humanities that has had an impact on your life? Please explain (one or two sentences is sufficient).
The arts, culture and humanities have been an important part of my entire life. It would be impossible to describe all of my personal experiences which include everything from helping my children prepare for recitals to visiting museums and attending musical & theatrical productions.
