Authors Sara Dant and Dan Flores
Join us for a free talk and book signing by WSU Professor Dr. Sara Dant and University of Montana Professor Emeritus Dr. Dan Flores. Dr. Dant and Dr. Flores will be discussing the environmental history of the West through the lens of their new books “Losing Eden:  An Environmental History of the American West” and “Coyote America: a Natural and Supernatural History” respectively. Q&A as well as signing will follow the talk. Books will be available for purchase.
Artist Michal Onyon
Michal will hang an exhibit of her whimsical acrylic boards in the L.S. Peery Education Center October 1 through December 3.   This is a unique opportunity to see and purchase Michal’s work. Michal Luch Onyon received a BFA from the University of Utah and along with the influence of her very accomplished artist parents, she began a lifetime of creating art. Since childhood, her home has revolved around what was happening in “the studio.” A study of her work reveals a sense of delight and searching imagination. Her work is always well composed, well considered, carefully crafted, and lively. She is inspired by the surprising directness of expression by primitive and folk artists as well as many of the modern artists. Her works heighten and compliment, in a very personal way, the subjects in nature that she chooses to paint. She has been steadily gaining recognition for her bold and colorful work.
