Nests, Nooks & Storybooks
Every Tuesday from 3:45 pm – 4:15 pm
Free for members

All ages welcome!
Grab a blanket and join us in the field, alongside a pond, or under the trees for story time at the Ogden Nature Center. Every Tuesday afternoon, come read a book with us outside. We’ll dive deeper into the themes of the story by exploring the Ogden Nature Center. Please check in at the Visitor Center. No reservations needed, just drop in.
Kundalini Yoga for Autumn - 8 Week Session
Mondays, October 2 – November 20 from 6:30 – 7:40 pm
$45 members / $50 non-members
Adults
This class is ideal for beginners & intermediates and for those who want to experience Kundalini yoga and meditation. Bring your own yoga mat and blanket. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, and we recommend not eating for at least one hour before class. Taught by a certified instructor. Please pre-register by calling 801-621-7595.
Preschool Discovery Days: Busy Buzzy Bugs
Choose a date and time:
Wednesday, October 4th or Thursday, October 5th
9:30 am, 11 am, or 1 pm
$5 members / $6 non-members
Ages: 3 – 5
Buzz and crawl your way around the Nature Center as you hunt and net insects. See a spider up close, make a bug craft, sing bug songs and hear bug stories. Our preschool programs are designed for 3 – 5 year old children. Preschool admission price includes 1 child and 1 adult. Preschool groups of 5 or more children are $5 per child/adult pair; teachers/aides are free with participating class. A non-refundable deposit of 50% must be paid in advance to pre-register groups of 5 children or more. General admission fees
will apply to any additional family members in attendance. Pre-registration is required for all participants. Walk-ins will only be welcome if space is available. Please note that classes with low attendance may be canceled. Please call 801-621-7595 for information or to reserve your spot today.
Wild Wednesday: Amazing Arachnids

Spiders and scorpions are some of nature’s most feared creatures. Get up close and personal with a tarantula and explore what makes these creatures so creepy. Please meet in the Visitor Center.

Did you know that Utah has 18 species or kinds of bats? Kick off the Halloween season by learning about these misunderstood and amazing flying mammals. Please meet in the Visitor Center.
CREATURES OF THE NIGHT
Friday, Oct. 13th and Saturday Oct. 14th from 5 pm – 8:30 pm
$6 for members / $7 for non-members

The Ogden Nature Center presents Creatures of the Night, a not-so-scary Halloween event for the whole family.
•Learn about snakes, spiders and owls with live animal presentations.
•Take a crepuscular creep around the nature preserve This guided hike will introduce you to some of our “wild” creatures that occupy the night and evening hours around the Nature Center.
•Find your way through the Spider Web Crawl.
•Listen to stories by the campfire and peak inside a real tipi.
•Food vendors, carnival games, fun fortune telling, treats and educational fun with a Halloween theme.
No RSVP necessary. Costumes welcome! Please dress for the weather. Held rain or shine. Flashlights recommended.
