Funding to Attend Regional Performing Arts Booking Conferences
Utah Performing Artists and Presenters
 
The Utah Division of Arts & Museum provides funding support for professional presenters or performing artists to attend annual booking conferences. Booking conferences are gathering places for performing arts professionals.  These conferences provide opportunities for performing artists to market their art to presenters who are looking to bring performance to their communities. Booking conferences are also exceptional opportunities for artists to obtain professional development and network with other professionals in the field. 
Funding covers registration costs up to $1000.

Levitt AMP Grant Awards
Deadline October 2, 2017

Each year, the Levitt Foundation awards $25K matching grants to up to 15 U.S.-based nonprofits serving small to mid-sized towns and cities to present the Levitt AMP Music Series, 10 free concerts that inject new life into public spaces and create vibrant community destinations. Through online public voting, your votes determine the Top 25 finalists.

Funding for Utah Performing Artists - Professional Development / Career Advancement

The Performing Arts Program is happy to provide this funding for Utah performing artists.

Applications for FY18 funding (July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018) are now available.

This opportunity provides funding to support the professional development and career advancement of performing artists. The funding is specifically designed to help individuals who are professionally engaged in the performing arts. Projects can include but are not limited to: creation/design of marketing materials (photo, video, print, web, recording, etc.), conference registration, trainings and workshops, equipment purchase, etc.

"This video was produced to provide a quick overview of the major components of a performing arts conference. It was filmed at the Performing Arts Exchange Conference in 2016 in Orlando, Florida. The full range of activities and events that took place from September 26 through September 29 are represented.  The video serves to introduce the world of performing arts conferences, frequently referred to as booking conferences, to arts administration students, music business students, artists, and performing arts professionals new to the field."
