Dear Kimball Friends & Supporters,

We are proud to announce that Lindsie Smith will be the Kimball Art Center's new Executive Director. She will be integral in leading our organization as we continue to inspire and connect the Utah community through art. Lindsie’s first day will be Monday, July 10, 2017, just in time to hit the ground running with our annual Gala on July 13 and the 48th Annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival
About Lindsie
Lindsie most recently served as the Associate Director of Clark Planetarium where she managed day-to-day operations, mentored staff and served as the organization’s public spokesperson. She also helped develop and monitor the Planetarium’s annual budget, fundraised for key programs and supervised significant capital improvements. She joined Clark Planetarium in 2012 and oversaw the Planetarium’s Marketing and Development, Operations and Education Departments. Lindsie began her marketing career in the finance industry, working for both Zions Bank and Fidelity Investments. In 2006, she moved to the nonprofit sector as the Director of Communications for Junior Achievement of Utah before moving on to Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum. Lindsie has broad nonprofit experience ranging from programmatic strategy to audience development and board relations. Lindsie received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wyoming and her Leadership and Management Certificate from the University of Utah.
About her new role, Lindsie said, “I am thrilled to join the Kimball Art Center. I look forward to working with the staff and board to continue the legacy of excellence of this dynamic organization. With a rich history, the KAC plays a unique and profound role in the arts. The classes inspire artists young and old, the annual Kimball Arts Festival brings together artists and the community for an incredible celebration of art, and the Center offers spectacular exhibits that enrich the cultural fabric of Park City and beyond. It is an exciting time to be joining the Kimball Art Center as we plan for a new facility that will allow us to expand our ability to inspire and connect through art. As summarized so aptly by our slogan, ‘Art Starts Here’ and I’m excited to start.”
Maggie AbuHaidar, Kimball Art Center Board Chair, said, "We’re thrilled that Lindsie Smith will be our new Executive Director.  Her accomplishments in the nonprofit world and her local Utah connections are just what we were hoping to find to help the Kimball grow while remaining true to our mission. Lindsie is a special talent that will lead this long-running Park City institution into an exciting new future.  We welcome her to the Park City community with open arms.”
We are excited for the Kimball to enter into this new chapter and wholeheartedly welcome Lindsie to our team. As our biggest supporters, we are grateful that you are on this journey with us and invite you to meet Lindsie at our annual Gala and at future events.
Happy Creating,
Kimball Art Center
