Answer:
I participated in band when I attended school. I would have liked to have more art classes when I was in school, but they were always the first to fill up. The arts impact so much of our lives and K-12 students should not be cheated out of the experience. Utah finds money for other things that are a lot less important. I work in Park City and the Sundance Film Festival puts Utah on the frontline of the arts, not to mention the revenue it generates. I live in Ogden and they are pushing for an "Arts District" to bring people back into the City and also generate revenue. The Arts is good business and should have the same incentives other businesses receive.
