A community parade followed by a street festival featuring food, drinks, vendors, dancing, and other performers.
This free annual event celebrates Hispanic heritage and is intended to bring awareness to Utah's high rate of uninsured Hispanic children. This event is hosted by Take Care Utah, a network of nonprofit organizations that provide free help to people applying for health insurance in order to increase access to health care for under-served populations. This event is part of #WelcomingSaltLake, an annual celebration bringing together people and local events that celebrate the contributions of immigrants and refugees and the role communities play in ensuring everyone feels welcome.
