Each day we will start with a sketch and a principal of art that will enhance our watercolor paintings. A short demonstration will guide us each day. All levels of ability are welcome to join in on the fun! Don't be afraid of the level you are at Just come participate and learn.     Advanced Oil taught by Diane Turner Sept 13 Oct. - 11 Oct. (5 weeks) Tuesdays 7 - 9pm $75 materials not included   This class is designed for advanced artists who would like to hone their painting skills with this excellent teacher. Register early to ensure a space in this popular class. Please bring a reference to the first class from which to paint.      Introduction to Printmaking taught by Cheryl Hansen Sept. 14 - Oct. 26 (7 weeks) Wednesdays 5:30-7:30 $75 +$15 materials fee   This class is designed for novice or intermediate students of printmaking.  We will learn how to create linoleum and wood cuts, and then do one-color and rainbow-roll printing. We will also experiment with collagraphy printmaking, which is a process where materials are applied to wood or paperboard to make a collage design.  The plate is then inked and printed onto paper or another material using a printing press or hand tools.  A variety of colors can be applied to achieve different tonal effects and printing techniques such as intaglio or relief prints.     Beginning Acrylic Painting taught by Areil Chu-Jon Sept. 14 -  Oct. 26 (7 weeks) Wednesdays 7 - 9 pm $90 materials not included   This class is designed for beginning (adult) students. You will be learning basic techniques in mixing and applying acrylics. You will also learn about values, color , and composition     Beginning Oil September 15 - October 20 (6 weeks) Thursdays 7 - 9 pm Tuition $90 supplies not included   Beginning to Intermediate students are welcome.  Beginning students will learn how to prepare a canvas, mix color, use brushes, and how to apply paint. All students will receive group and individual help to develop and improve skills. Please bring several pictures you are interested in painting to the first class.
