Gather your fun-loving friends and head to the Ogden Nature Center after work for an evening filled with tasty bites, local brews, spirits and test your avian knowledge. Enjoy drinks from local favorites like Roosters Brewing Co., Talisman Brewing and New World Distillery, marvel at live animal presentations, and get competitive with a pub-style trivia match! Must be 21 or older to attend. No outside food or drink allowed at the event.
Detailed description:
Gather your fun-loving friends and head to the Ogden Nature Center after work for an evening filled with local brews, spirits, and tasty bites, while testing your avian knowledge!
The event will start with a series of live animal presentations paired with samples of 6 different beers from local breweries Talisman Brewing and Roosters Brewing Co., and samples 2 spirits from local distillery New World Distillery. Fancy a sample of a red ale while learning about a Red-tailed Hawk? Or perhaps a sip of gin while you learn about the Western Screech owl – whooo just so happens to nest in juniper trees.
Even Stevens will be providing a plethora of tasty food for your enjoyment, including 3 different types of sandwiches (meat, vegetarian and vegan options), roasted peppers with ginger & maple glaze, roasted Brussel sprouts with bacon, pretzel breadsticks with house-made beer cheese, and fresh pita and hummus plates.
Once the samples and animal presentation portion is complete, all three beverage vendors will have open bars where you can purchase pints of beer and cocktails for $5 and $8.
The second half of the event is a pub-style bird-themed trivia competition, hosted by local 4-time Jeopardy champion Tim Kutz. Form teams with your friends and loved ones and test your avian knowledge, competing for prize baskets for 1st and 2nd place.
