My family had a community theatre when I was growing up.  There I learned to love the theatre: the backstage, the onstage, and as an audience member.  I also grew up performing in community orchestras from my youth through college and loved every minute.  I have brought up my children to support and participate in the arts both in school and out of school by being a volunteer in their art classes, bringing them to museums, theatre, art and music performances, and making music a daily part of life.  As a senator, I hope that all children can have a similar exposure, that they can have great art in their school, their communities, and as a part of everyday life here in Utah.
