A group of around 15 people is summoned by phone messages to attend a surprise party/orgy. Despite the fact that almost everyone has come along to have a good time, deep down, they long to make up for their shortcomings and mend their broken hearts.

 Post-film Q&A  with director Dante Alencastre and the subject's mom, Ofelia Barba, in attendance.

Raising Zoey depicts an eventful year in the life of transgender 13 year old girl, Zoey Luna, her mom, Ofelia and her older sister, Letty. Zoey, with the help of her mother and the ACLU, fought school officials for her right to self-identify in school, and helped others persevere in living their authentic lives.

Taiwanese fiilmmaker Hui-chen Huang knows her mother is a lesbian, but just about nothing else about her. They have lived like strangers under one roof for decades, and almost never talk to each other. One day Hui-chen finally summons up the courage to sit her down and make her mother talk. But is she ready to hear what she has to say?

Join old friends and new as we celebrate the close of the Festival in style with dancing and a heel walk off. Film + Party passholders receive two complimentary drink vouchers + unlimited access to the taco bar! No Cover. Must be 21 years old or older for entry.
