In this course, students will be able to learn about the alternative cyanotype process cyanotypes, a light-sensitive chemical applied to paper exposed out in the sunlight to capture a blue and white photographic image when developed. Plants and everyday objects can be placed on the surface of the applied chemical to create photographic images using 3d objects. Students will use organic and found objects to create their own artwork through projects such as cyanotype mandalas, nature and object documentation, collages, fabric printing, and combining poetry with imagery.
