Fresh from her Washington DC Fly-In with Americans for the Arts, Annie will update the group on her meetings with Congresswoman Maloy and Senator Lee regarding NEA and NEH funding. Additionally, Participants will investigate evidence-based advice for promoting positive narratives that help policymakers invest in arts, culture and humanities with confidence. Explore what to say, how to stay it and the order in which we should consider saying it to demystify advocacy and get to the heart of the story we all need to collectively tell.

Activating Language in your Strategic Plan
Participants will investigate the benefits of Real Time Strategic Planning to identify, understand, and act on challenges and opportunities as they arise. This will be accomplished through blending basic acting and directing technique with an administrative mindset to allow for lifting words from the page to implanting action within your organization
Advocacy in Action: Maximizing Communication Through UCA & NPU
Learn how to amplify your organization’s impact using the powerful communication tools offered by Utah Cultural Alliance and NowPlayingUtah.com. This session will explore how to align your messaging with advocacy goals, engage your community, and boost visibility through professional advertising and statewide campaigns. Perfect for nonprofit arts organizations looking to make their voice heard and grow their reach.
11:15-12:00 PM: Bear River Heritage/Cache Community Collaboration Conversation facilitated by Wendi Hassan, Pamela Gee and Robyn Hoth.
