Culture Bytes in Cedar City: August 20th

Our upcoming Culture Bytes is a collaboration with Utah Shakespeare Festival. Neil LaBute, one of the most frequently produced playwrights currently working in America, will host “A Conversation with Neil LaBute”August 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre, followed a book signing in the theatre lobby. Presented by the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the event will focus on playwriting in general and LaBute’s work in particular. It is free to the public.

We've partnered with the Utah Shakespeare Festival to offer a group rate for UCA Members with the Stratford and El Rey Hotels.The Stratford and El Rey hotels are offering a 15% discount on rooms from August 17-20. Culture Bytes in Cache County: August 30th

UCA is headed to Logan for the Cache Valley Arts Summit. Join us on August 30th from noon - 1pm at the Bullen Center for a discussion on the state of the arts in Cache County.

About Cache Valley Arts Summit:

The Cache Valley Arts Summit is a network of artists and more than 60 arts organizations who meet quarterly to coordinate calendars, promote best practices and partner on projects. We’ve been meeting for more than 10 years and have done some pretty amazing things. Please join us!

Culture Bytes in Moab: September 8th - September 10th

Our following Culture Bytes is a collaboration with the Moab Music Festival fromSeptember 8th - September 10th. Join us for a networking lunch onSeptember 9th at 12:00 p.m. at the Moab Arts & Recreation Center as we discuss the state of Utah's arts & humanities sector with individuals and organizations in Moab.

In addition to the networking lunch at noon, on the morning of September 9th, those who are interested can join us for a cultural tour of Moab. Check out the weekend's schedule below:

  • Thursday Sept. 8th: Artists Soiree from 6-8pm (There will also be an Open Mic event afterwards at the MARC from 8-10pm)
  • Friday, September 9th: Networking lunch 12-1pm then Advocacy Training 1-2pm
  • Saturday, September 10th: ArtWalk 6-9pm

We're also partnering with the Moab Music Festival for some exciting events for the entire weekend. If you are joining us from the Salt Lake area, we have a discount for the concerts on the evening of September 9, 10, and 11. Visitwww.moabmusicfest.org and use the coupon code SLCARTS for 15% off.
