Learn how to play the mandolin, a stringed instrument that’s plucked with a plectrum, in this beginner group class. Instruction includes chop rhythm and picking techniques, chords, runs, simple leads and repertoire. *Participants need to be prepared to bring their own mandolin, mandolin strap, mandolin picks, extra set of strings (medium or light gauge), and tuner (electronic clip-on such as Snark brand). This eight-week class meets Wednesdays from 8:00-9:00 pm. Class will not be held on October 9. Registration deadline is September 3.
