Beethoven 2020: Symphony No. 5 -CANCELLED

CANCELLED

March 25, 2020: Utah Symphony | Utah Opera announced the suspension of performances through May 23, 2020 in response to the state’s increased COVID-19 precautions for social distancing and Salt Lake County Arts and Culture’s announcement that performing arts venues will be closed through May 15, 2020. ***** Is that Fate at your door? Maybe not, but the knock you hear is nothing less than the most famous four-note sequence in music history. Concert highlights include: Unrivaled violinist Augustin Hadelich returns to perform Dutilleux, The Tree of Dreams and Beethoven's Romance No. 1 as the composer's 250th birthday celebration rolls on. Experience the majesty and emotional poignancy of Beethoven's most recognizable symphony, the monumental No. 5. Fly with the birds one last time with two more movements from Messiaen's tribute to the wonders of nature, From the canyons to the Stars.
