Bach, Beethoven, and Beyond is a thought-provoking collaboration between German pianist Andreas Klein and Swiss fine art photographer Andreas Rentsch. These artists will both educate and inspire with music and art along with commentary and elaboration. Both artists will hold master classes the day prior to the concert on Utah Tech university's campus. The 7th Piano Sonata by Prokofieff will be performed in its entirety as part of the program, "Bach, Beethoven and Beyond". The war-inspired piano work is brutal, dissonant and overwhelming, yet reveals an occasional romantic, peaceful side. These elements are illustrated by the images which are displayed behind the pianist. The suggestive commentary to the well-known music was photographed with a pinhole camera.
