Join us for three evenings of art and storytelling, learning about printmaker Tim Musso's work, hear from Indigenous artists and storytellers, and experience local multi-media stories.

The Art and Story series is a part of the Escalante Canyons Art Festival in Escalante, Utah. Tim Musso, printmaker and professor at La Sierra University in Riverside, California, will kick off the series with a talk about his creative process when creating place-based artwork, provide a hands-on demonstration of the print-making medium, and discuss how his art depicts a relevant story about the Grand Staircase flora, fauna, and more. The second evening will highlight Indigenous Perspectives on culture and art with reflections on family histories depicted through petroglyphs and pictographs. The third and final evening will showcase local storytellers who will provide oral accounts of their connection to the Grand Staircase-Escalante landscape along with photography and paintings of that connection. All three events are free to the public, and will be held at the Grand Staircase Escalante Partners headquarters and will be livestreamed through Facebook.
