Some Things You Just Never Forget

Riley Hackford-Peer (a student of Kelly Haakenson at SLCSE) interviewed his 93-year-old great-grandfather and WWII veteran Wayne Peer for his digital media project in his social studies class. With the help of his classmates Jessie Flynn and Katie Robbins, Riley brings us an emotional recounting of ground fighting and shows that there are some things you just never forget. Check out the SHIFT on Vimeo page for more films created in Utah classrooms.

CORRECTION: Last week we shared a stop-motion animation film called Photosynthesis and mistakenly credited the student who created it. Local student Kin Blandford is actually the mastermind behind this film and we want to make sure he receives proper credit for his impressive work. Nice work, Kin! Click here to watch his film.
