Current Work - SLC's newest contemporary art gallery - presents "Friends of Friends," featuring work by 16 artists from 8 cities across Utah, the US, and Mexico.

Stop by Current Work in SLC's Granary District to see our first exhibition, "Friends of Friends." Eight artists working with a variety of mediums, concepts, and styles were each asked to recommend an artist whose work they admire. The result is a glimpse into how quickly connections expand, creating relationships across state and national borders. There's a little something for everyone here; come connect with contemporary art in a friendly, welcoming environment. "Friends of Friends" will be open to the public during gallery stroll from 6-9 pm on September 16 and by appointment through September 30. Participating artists: Kelly Breez, Nic Courdy, Cara Despain, Michael Ryan Handley, Amber Heaton, Colour Maisch, Benny Merris, Kristen Mitchell, Sofia Ortiz, Jared Ragland, Fazilat Soukhakian, John Sproul, Jared Steffensen, Lane Twitchell, Gary Vlasic, and Charles Edward Williams.
