This annual gathering is a celebration of Utah's vibrant humanities, arts, museums, and cultural sector. We get to show off a little for our elected officials! The program will include performances from professional artists AND elected officials.

We will present awards to two elected officials who have significantly supported the arts & humanities through their public service in the last year: Rep. Francis Gibson and Sen. Evan Vickers. This event is on the official social calendar of the legislature. Last year, over 70 legislators attended!

• Student performance from the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program at Reagan Academy  "Life Cycle of a Plant"
• Rep. Melissa Ballard and David Park (a violinist from Utah Symphony) will perform a selection from their recent recording
• Utah Shakespeare Festival will perform a selection from "Every Brilliant Thing"
• Divya Naragyanan will perform Indian Classical Dance
• Utah Opera will perform a short opera "The Better Man" about the life of Martha Hughes Cannon
• Rep. Cheryl Acton will read selections of her own poetry
• Jazz Ensemble from Utah Museum Educators Association
• String quartet from Utah Music Educators Association
• We will also give a tribute to Fred Adams, founder of Utah Shakespeare Festival
