Greetings!

It’s that time again!  The Weber State University Gospel Music Festival committee is preparing for the 17th Annual “Make a Joyful Noise!” Gospel Music Festival.   As we celebrate our seventeenth event, we are pleased to announce our theme, “Rise Up”.  In order to help us celebrate the community and have positivity in solidarity, we have decided to open participation to the first five (5) choirs who respond to this call.  As always, we anticipate that this yearly event will exceed the previous year’s festivities.  We feel confident that this is one concert you will want to be a part of as we join in celebration together.

With this in mind, we invite your choir to participate in the Gospel Music Festival that will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 7:30 PM in the Austad Auditorium of the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts located on the campus of Weber State University.  This event is free and open to the public.  We encourage the attendance of your congregation, family and friends.

Because we can only accommodate a limited number of performing groups, it is imperative that you let us know as soon as possible your intent to participate in the Gospel Music Festival.  In the interest and spirit of the sub-theme – “Rise Up”, we ask that you select no more than two songs to perform at the event.  Once you have confirmed your participation, we will ask for your song selection to confirm that there will be no overlap.

On behalf of the WSU Gospel Music Festival Committee, we thank you for your support and participation over the last sixteen years.  We are looking forward with great anticipation to the upcoming “Make a Joyful Noise!” festival.

Again, because there is a limit to the number of choirs that will be able to perform this year, you are required to RSVP and confirm your participation no later than Monday, October 31, 2016.  Please contact Mrs. Teresa Martinez with the contact information below to confirm your participation at your earliest convenience.
