“REJOICE & BE MERRY!”

This year’s Utah Chamber Artists Christmas concert takes its name, “Rejoice & Be Merry”, from one of a set of carols composed by popular British composer, Bob Chilcott. On Monday December 5^th at 7:30 in Libby Gardner Concert Hall. 

Barlow Bradford will lead the choir and orchestra in Chilcott’s ON CHRISTMAS NIGHT, a popular retelling of the Christmas story. A former King’s College choral scholar and King’s Singer, Chilcott has been hailed as “a contemporary hero of British choral music”. Audiences will enjoy hearing strains of familiar carols imaginatively interwoven with the composer’s own melodies.

 

The second half of the program features seasonal favorites by Barlow Bradford and his son Christopher.  The audience will be invited to sing along at various times in the concert and at the conclusion all will enjoy refreshments in the Bastian Atrium.
