Chance and accident have influenced art for more than a century. Experiment with randomness by crafting a drawing machine to create your own work of art. We'll provide all the parts needed to create a self-moving machine that draws.

Marty Krause, leading expert on Gustave Baumann, will discuss the life and technique of this important regional artist.
Krause organized IMA's 2015 exhibition Gustave Baumann, German Craftsman - American Artist and edited The Autobiography of Gustave Baumann. Copies of the book will be for sale in The Museum Store, and a book signing will follow the talk.
