SLUG Magazine's 5th Annual Bike Issue
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 4, 2017
Salt Lake City, UT—SLUG Magazine’s 5th Annual Bike Issue hits the streets tomorrow morning! Since 2013, SLUG has had a finger on the pulse of the local bike scene. From Erika Longino’s transcontinental bike touring to dedicated coverage of the progression of bike sharing in Salt Lake, SLUG’s May issue is sure to inform all who prefer two wheels to four.
Featuring players from all elements of bike culture, the issue will appeal to the casual GREENbike renter to powerhouse canyon riders and everyone in-between.
Expect features on several talented local North American Handmade Bicycle Show participants, a two-person company dedicated to giving you the best bike accessories and the educators bringing bike safety to schools and bike accessibility throughout Utah.
On top of the May Bike Issue, SLUG will also be hosting its 5th Annual SLUG Cat! The SLUG Cat is an alleycat-style bike race that will take riders on an adventure through the streets of downtown SLC, with only a manifest and a copy of the Bike issue in their hands to guide them. Registration for the SLUG Cat will go from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Gateway’s Olympic Fountain and cost is $5 per rider. The race will begin at 5 p.m.
